About the Author

Alana Nichols is the youngest daughter of Joanna Nicholas and Kenny Cheng, founders of the Children’s Hearing Foundation. She was born with profound hearing loss and received her cochlear implant in Australia. While growing up, she underwent auditory-verbal therapy.

鄭雅文(Alana Nichols)是「雅文兒童聽語文教基金會基金會」創辦夫婦—-喬安娜女士及鄭欽明先生的小女兒。她是天生的極重度聽損，之後接受人工電子耳植入以及「聽覺口語訓練」的療育。

Due to their compassion for children with hearing problems and their families, Joanna and Kenny established the Children’s Hearing Foundation almost two decades ago. Alana successfully completed high school with honours and is currently attending university.

本著對聽損小朋友及其家人的關愛，喬安娜和鄭欽明在十八年前成立了雅文基金會。鄭雅文高中學業優秀，畢業時獲頒榮譽學生，現在正在上大學。
